Botancial Butterflies

December 18, 2018

Wanted to share a non Christmas project with you today. I love this simple card. The Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper has the butterflies ready for you to punch out. This paper will be available starting January 3rd.

I recommend quickly cutting around each butterfly before punching so that you don't punch others one as well. This will make your paper go further. It is hard to see in the pictures but the Whisper White strip was sponged with White Shimmer Paint to give it a pearlized look.

Supplies
Stamps: Butterfly Gala
Colours: Night of Navy, Whisper White
Accessories: Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper, Tailored Tag Punch, Butterfly Duo Punch, Pearls, White Shimmer Paint, Stampin' Dimensionals

Butterfly Gala Card

November 29, 2018 in , ,

At the crop last Saturday I used new product from both the 2019 Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogues. You can start purchasing and earning rewards from these catalogues starting January 3rd. I was able to make 5 cards at the crop, it doesn't sound like much but between gabbing, colouring with the Blends (so relaxing) and other stuff I thought I did really well! You will see the other cards later this month.

I decided the card needed to use colours from the Brights colour family since it was for my niece's birthday. Thankfully I had lots of cardstock with me to make the choice easier since my first plan to use Gorgeous Grape didn't work with how the designer series paper was coloured in with Stampin' Blends. The new Botanical Butterfly designer series paper is in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue and can be earned with a $60 purchase. One side of this pretty paper is coloured images and the other is black and white (perfect to add your own splash of colour!).

Supplies
Stamps: Butterfly Gala
Colours: Flirty Flamingo, Bermuda Bay
Accessories: Stampin' Blends in Flirty Flamingo, Lovely Lipstick, Old Olive, Highland Heather, Bermuda Bay, Tailored Tag Punch, Butterfly Duo Punch

Welcome to our November blog hop with Global Stamping Friends! Our theme this month is circles. My card has a few circles on it, I used the Layering Circles Framelits and the Tin Tile Embossing Folder that has circle patterns. And because it's November with Remembrance Day coming I choose Poppy Parade for my flowers.

Next week is Stampin' Up!'s Onstage in Orlando, Florida! I'm so excited and almost all packed, my swaps are done and so looking forward to seeing almost 7,000 other demonstrators from around the world! Even better is that I will get to meet a few others that participate in this blog hop while at Onstage! Black Ice with Blends

October 11, 2018 in ,

Stamps: Touches of Texture, Special Celebrations
Colours: Pool Party, Whisper White, Smokey Slate
Accessories: Wood Textures Designer Series Paper, Tailored Tag Punch, Versamark Ink, Clear Embossing Powder, Silver Foil, Stazon Black Ink, Pool Party and Old Olive Stampin' Blends (both dark), Silver Thread

There are so many things you can use these cute Santa Bags from the 2018 Holiday Catalogue. They are 4" x 5" in size. We used them as thank you gifts for our Fall Weekend Retreat last month and filled them with Andes Mints. The tag was adhered using a piece of Tear & Tape adhesive.

Welcome to a special Extraordinary Blog Hop with Global Stamping Friends! We are highlighting projects featuring new products from the 2018 Holiday Catalogue.

This past weekend I helped run Crop Kingston's Fall Weekend Retreat here in Kingston, Ontario. I was able to borrow the stamp set, framelits and embossing folders from friends at the retreat to create this card. On Sunday when I placed my order those items were the first ones on my list! They will arrive next week and I am looking forward to playing with the beautiful stamp set again.

The flowers and leaves were leftovers from another card that I will post next week. I stamped extra images and since they were sitting on my work space it was a perfect opportunity to make another card! To create the embossed piece behind the bouquet I put a piece of Champagne Foil sheet into the Big Shot with the Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing Folder first and then lightly swiped my Whisper White Craft Ink pad to highlight the raised portions of the embossed image.

Supplies
Stamps: First Frost and Detailed With Love
Colours: Blackberry Bliss, Grapefruit Grove, Granny Apple Green
Accessories: Frosted Banquet Framelits, Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing Folder, Champagne Foil Sheet, Subtle Embossing Folder, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stitched Labels Framelits, 3/16" Braided Linen Trim

I so love the truck from the Farmhouse Christmas stamp set!

I coloured in the truck and tree using a blender pen. The effect makes it look like an old farm truck that the sun has faded the paint so I added a few rust spots! Unfortunately, it reminds me of my rusty truck!

Supplies
Stamps: Farmhouse Christmas
Colours: Crumb Cake, Call Me Clover, Blueberry Bliss
Accessories: All is Bright designer series paper, Farmhouse Framelits, 1/4" Copper Trim, Gold Faceted Gems, Blender Pen

Black Ice Poinsettias

September 08, 2018 in , ,
During this weekend's retreat one of the challenges the attendees is a colour challenge: to use at least 3 of the colours listed on the designer series paper pack! I had a piece of gold foil paper done up with the black ice technique leftover from the class I taught today at the retreat.

Supplies
Stamps: Timeless Tidings
Colours: Shaded Spruce, Basic Black
Accessories: Under the Mistletoe designer series paper, Real Red Stampin' Blends

The Timeless Tidings Stamp Set was designed to go with the Timeless Tidings Project Kit but I think it's the most used Christmas stamp in my collection at the moment! It coordinates with so many of our designer series papers.

The scrapbook page in sharing today uses elements from the Lots of Happy card kit from Stampin' Up!'s 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue. The flowers and leaves were colored in using the watercolor pencils included with the kit and then a blender pen to watercolor them.

Supplies
Stamps: None
Colours: Whisper White, Lemon Lime Twist, Rich Razzelberry
Accessories: Lots of Happy card kit, Blender Pen, Celebrate You Thinlits

This card was one of the four make and takes from Saturday's Crop Kingston All Day Crop. In each Grab Bag was the Twinkle Designer Series Paper that was used for all name and takes. I love this paper but not the coordinating stamp set (it is cute but not something I see myself using). The punched image and the designer series paper with a sentiment from another stamp set is perfect to welcome baby!

Our next crop is Sat Sep 22 at St. Lawrence College in Kingston, On! Cost is $30. Sign up here!

Supplies
Stamps: Special Celebrations
Colours: Night of Navy, Gray Granite
Accessories: Night of Navy Solid Baker's Twine, Twinkle Adhesive Backed Stars, Layering Circle Framelits, Stampin' Dimensionals

I'm headed to OnStage in Orlando, Florida this November. I'm very excited to be able to go and that my husband will travel with me before to do some sightseeing before hand!! Stampin' Up! has asked for Display Stampers so this blog post is all about my application projects.

First up is my scrapbook page, this page uses items from the beautiful Lots of Happy Card Kit. The cards in the kit are awesome the elements in the kit can be used for lots of other projects! To the kit I added a piece of Whisper White 12"x12" cardstock, pieces of Sahara Sand and Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and the Whisper White panels to frame the pictures. The flowers were all coloured in using the watercolour pencils included in the kit - Flirty Flamingo and Lemon Lime twist.

The Under the Sea Framelits makes this project easy! The only freehand cutting I did was around the back seaweed. For the sand dollars I stamped the net onto Whisper White cardstock and then ran it through the Big Shot with the sand dollar framelits, then used my Aquapainter with a small amount of Crumb Cake ink to muddy the lines a bit.

My first Christmas card this year! It features 2 products from the upcoming Holiday Catalogue: Timeless Tidings stamp set and the Sprig Punch. The designer series paper is Under the Mistletoe from the Annual Catalogue. I think the gold really pops with Old Olive. I used the Stampin' Blends to colour in the mistletoe.

My second 3D item is a cute pillow box decorated with the Under the Mistletoe designer series paper and the Stitched Labels Framelits. The Kraft Pillow Boxes already have the polka dots on them and coordinate with so many of our designers series papers and colours.

This card was my first using my new Stampin' Blends - Highland Heather and Old Olive. It's relaxing to sit and colour in the images! It also shows off the new 3/16" Braided Linen Trim from the Holiday Catalogue.

A baby card using the Twinkle Twinkle suite. Instead of the stamp set that is part of this suite I decided to use the Special Celebrations stamp set. Do you notice the Twinkle adhesive-backed Sequins? The sticky stars and the punch are my favourites from this suite.

Thanks for checking out all my projects! If I'm selected I'll share my completed projects for Onstage after the event!

Welcome to our Anniversary Blog Hop to celebrate 2 years! I haven't participated for all the blog hops but it's fantastic that this group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators have done them for this long! And what better way to celebrate than creating an anniversary card. This card could also be used for so many other celebrations as well - baby, job promotion, moving into a new home, etc.

With my Holiday Catalogue preorder I decided it was time to order some Stampin' Blends and this card was perfect to try them out. I still have to practice but I really like how the leaves turned out! I also used them to colour the pearls using the Dark Highland Heather Blend. The ribbon is new from the Holiday Catalogue, it's the 3/16" Braided Linen Trim and it is awesome! I puffed out the loops of the bow to give it more dimension.

Supplies
Stamps: Petal Palette
Colours: Highland Heather, Gray Granite, Whisper White
Accessories: Petals & More Thinlits, Pearls, Blends: Highland Heather and Old Olive, Petal Pair Textured Embossing Folders, Stampin' Dimensionals

August Swap Card

August 15, 2018 in ,
Created this card for my upline's monthly demonstrator meeting. I found this card on Facebook and forgot to write down the lady's name that I case'd this from. Thank you to whomever you are! I really miss Soft Sky that was retired in May but Balmy Blue works very well with Pool Party. They are both in the Subtles collection so they work together very well!

Supplies
Stamps: Tropical Chic
Colours:  Pool Party, Balmy Blue, Silver, Whisper White
Accessories:  Subtle Embossing Folder, Tropical Thinlits, Metallics Sequin assortment, Stampin' Dimensionals, Pearls

Welcome all to the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - Drinks Galore! So glad you are taking some time to visit our blogs and seeing all our wonderful projects. I had to think and do a lot of Pinterest searching for ideas for today's theme! Although I knew that I wanted to use the Coffee Cup Framelits.

My original plan was to make a card but none of my ideas worked. So I dug through my other items to see what I could make for a 3D project! Decided to use the very versatile 3" x 6" gusseted cellophane bag and a coffee pod. Although my husband was concerned that I took his last coffee pod to make this project! I'll make sure to buy him more for this weekend. :)

Supplies
Stamps: Tropical Chic
Colours: Whisper White
Accessories: Coffee Cup Framelits, Wood Textures Designer Series Paper, gusseted cellophane bag, Rhinestone, Everyday Label punch, Stampin' Dimensional, Tear & Tape Adhesive

Thank you for stopping by!
